A big project with a fast turnaround… Yorkshire Marine Nature Partnership (YMNP) is partnership between a large number of organisations who are involved in the stewardship of the Yorkshire coastal environment and they needed three in-depth films that explained the concept of natural capital…
…which took some understanding in itself: in a (very reductive) nutshell, natural capital is the idea of auditing the financial value of the natural environment so it can be protected and enhanced.
In the coldest months of a cold winter in 2022 we travelled all down the amazing Yorkshire Coast – wild winds, blizzards, crashing waves, fish and chips – and filmed interviews, drone and B-roll in fantastic locations, all the while learning more about the value of our beautiful environment and how it benefits our health, wealth and wellbeing.
With so many interviewees, locations and agendas, together with the tight turnaround and the need to shoot in all-weathers, this was a challenging but very fulfilling job from both a production and an editorial perspective.
