Digital Stories

KCOM DJ Steve Newsome Digital Story Commercial Documentary Production Hull

We have been working closely with the telecoms and broadband company KCOM since 2016. We devised the ‘Digital Stories’ series for KCOM, using a ‘content marketing’ approach to tell short real-life stories on social media of how people and businesses use KCOM broadband in their everyday life and work.

With two experienced and qualified journalists on the Nova team (Matt and Barney), two skilled shooters (Cal and Al) and a dedicated full-time editor (Lina) – we can shoot, edit and turn-around interviews and B-roll for films like these quickly and to the highest production standards at a fraction of the cost of production companies based in London or Manchester.

We know how to find the story and draw out the right messages, we have a smooth and efficient workflow, we never miss a deadline. We have two full time crews, we own all of our own gear (we don’t hire, it’s all ours) – we have the capacity to deliver on multiple projects at once.

From the pensioner using his connection to play Fortnite with his grandson, to the stately home using KCOM’s technology to improve their engagement with visitors, from the working mum with her Etsy lampshade business to the DJ performing live from his home to thousands across the world – KCOM’s digital stories tell real stories about people connecting.

"I've always found Nova to provide an excellent quality of work and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. Creative, responsive and always providing high quality content to the required brief, the team at Nova are easy to get along with while also being completely professional. The many films they have provided for us have created a huge amount of interest and great reactions which has helped us create a positive narrative about both our business and community activities."
