For the fifth year running we’re very proud to be chosen as Bradford Literature Festival’s official video production company – and we’re over the moon that Bradford has won City of Culture status for 2025.
During the two years of Covid and lockdowns, the festival continued with a largely digital offer, which we helped to package and produce for an online audience, but this year it was back to the impressive range of live events which have helped to establish Bradford as one of the leading literature festivals in the world.
During a packed programme of events over the course of nine days, writers, thinkers, celebrities, storytellers, politicians, musicians and more explore topics as diverse as gender and race identity, rugby rivalry, spirituality, international politics and cookery.
One week, over one hundred events
From June 24th until July 3rd it was our job to capture the rich highlights of the festival. Our lead shooter Cal camped out at the Premier Inn for the duration and wore out plenty of shoe leather covering over 100 events.
At the same time a second multi-cam team of three shooters were busy filming 20 events in full, all of which will soon be online and reaching an international audience.
The capacity to deliver
Bradford is a big job and we love it; good communication, building a strong relationship with the BLF festival team and working alongside the productions crews in each venue is essential.
And so is having the capacity to deliver. While our BLF festival teams were fully occupied we were still busy at work on jobs for Marketing Humber, Spencer Engineering, the MAGIC rainwater project and the Humber Museums Partnership. We’ve said it before, but we’re busier than ever – and recruiting again.
