At Nova we’ve always worked closely with organisations who are involved in arts, culture and heritage.
This year alone we have produced both documentary and creative content for Freedom, Opera North, Bradford Literature Festival, Back to Ours, Absolutely Cultured, the Ferens Art Gallery, Heritage Learning, the British Council, Visit Hull and more.
In spite of Covid we’re currently busier than ever, not only with the growing volume of work for our commercial clients, but as theatres, festivals and venues struggle to re-open and bring their work to their audiences, many are realising that developing online content is a great way to continue producing creative work and to reach people directly in their own homes.
Of course, no
thing replaces the shared experience and participation of a live event, but that’s not what digital content is supposed to do. The whole point is to adapt work so it can proudly hold its head up on a digital platform in its own right. It’s not just making a recording of something that was meant to be seen live – it’s about creating exciting, engaging, absorbing films. The mindset is not ‘instead of’, we’re thinking more ‘as well as’. We work collaboratively with artists and producers to bring their vision to the screen.
We’d all love to be back out there enjoying live events again, but in the meantime our new arts showreel provides a glimpse into some of the events and activities we’ve been commissioned to work on in the recent past.
We hope it shows you not only striking and beautiful footage from exciting events, but also the way we cut, the way we can use graphics, a glimpse of our professional and creative standards and our style. If you like the look and feel, we’d love to hear from you.
