We’ve had a busy time during lockdown.
Whilst a whole bunch of jobs that were scheduled for April, May and June have had to be postponed, a whole new style of communication has taken off which is providing us with plenty to keep us busy.
So now instead of having our morning meeting over coffee at the office, we Skype together (still with the coffee, still with the stupid jokes) and plan our daily schedules which recently have generally involved editing Skype interviews, scripted lines or presentations together and packaging them up into something that keeps everybody connected from home.
While people can’t be together they still need to communicate, to hear corporate messages, to know that businesses and organisations are still thinking of their members or employees, to learn, to be reassured – and, luckily for us – they’re still turning to Nova for help with that.
We’ve also been delving into our footage archive, the most comprehensive in the region, to make work using pre-lockdown footage.
One of the most satisfying and widely-viewed short films during lockdown was produced for regular clients Visit Hull: they wanted a film that showed-off our beautiful city and looked forward to a time when Hull would once again be open for business, whilst bringing a morale-boosting note of optimism. The film, which has had over 150,00 views across all platforms, caught the mood and emotions of people who love their city.
